At the National Lectureship Advisory Committee meeting held on June 6, 2017, in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Harvey M. Jackson, National Coordinator of the Ministers’ Institute Conference (MIC), announced that the Conference will undergo a name change beginning in the year 2018.

According to Dr. Jackson, it was unanimously decided by those who attend the MIC that the name should be changed to reflect the legacy of its founder. With this in mind, the name of the MIC will now be called the “W. F. Washington Theological Institute.”

The Institute has proven itself to be an indispensable resource for preachers, church leaders and students of the Scripture. However, it is imperative that the legacy of Dr. W. F. Washington be embraced and preserved for generations that will follow. Therefore, we believe it is appropriate to rename the Ministers’ Institute Conference to the “W. F. Washington Theological Institute” in recognition of this legendary “Defender of the Faith.”

The 42nd Annual "W. F. Washington Theological Institute" will offer several different tracks of workshops. Each of the tracks will be structured programmatically so that attendees will have the opportunity and privilege to attend all of them at least once during the Institute.

It would greatly facilitate the prosecution of the availability of the tracks
if each attendee would pre-register in advance.

Standard Features of the W. F. Washington Theological Institute Include:
Evening Vespers with Powerful Gospel Preaching
Enhancing Women’s Division
Wednesday Evening Ministerial Awards Recognition and "Honor Banquet"

We are pleased to announce that a partnership with New York Theological Seminary of New York City to offer a Certificate Program in Christian Ministry online has been established with the “W. F. Washington Theological Institute.” This new Certificate Program in Christian Ministry is a one-year intensive non-degree program designed for ordained ministers, lay pastors, people who are in leadership positions within the church, and anyone seeking additional in-depth knowledge of the Scripture.

New York Theological Seminary of New York City is a “non-denominational” institution accredited by the Association of Theological Schools (ATS) of the United States and Canada and chartered by the New York State Board of Regents. Let it be understood that ATS accreditation is considered by many to be the “gold standard” among theological seminaries and faith-based institutions.
